| so, i thought maybe i should update, since it has been almost 2 months. haha. ok. umm. since june 29th....? i continued to work at the day care in the evenings and just hang out at home mostly. We went to Callaway from July 15-22 and that was fun, as it always is. Then i just continue with work and hanging around. I had my last day at the day care on the 18th, and that made me very sad. But i got a "going-away" cake! and that was very cool. Earlier that week i had gone to our school's "junior driver meeting" in which i was assigned a parking spot. since there are so many of us in my junior grade, they had to make up new spots, and they choose where you parked by a lottery system. There was the deck, the gravel lot, and "THE HILL".....of course....i got the hill. but whatever. i get a ride...from the most amazing person in the world....she will remain unnamed at this time.......(Chelsey!!!!) lol. umm...so yea. But then school started on the 22nd. And it seems like i never stopped seeing these ppl. Nothing has changed at school, and it just seems like there was no summer (3 month period). I like ALL my classes, except latin. And that one is still not to bad. i'm just nervous about the future in that one. Right now we are just reviewing, which is still hard, but i hope i can just pass that class. I love my english class, with Mrs. Simmons and S&M is always a favorite. I still haven't had my try out for Ellington, but hopefully i will get that out of the way. Other things to note. Vivian left for college on the 18th of August, and that was pretty exciting. And Margaret leaves tonight (at 9:00) for Cortona, Italy, which is ALSO very exciting. I got a new phone (a blue Motorola Razr...cool beans) and a new number. Um.....i think that is about it. As you can see, this is the reason i don't update very often, because i really don't have much to say. but i will try not to let such a large amount of time go by the next time. i hope everyone is starting out with a good school year, or...with whatever else you are doing. later! pd

| so, i had been meaning to for a long time, but i finally contacted the band director at Lovett who is in charge of the Ellington Jazz Band at school. Their singer for the band just graduated, so i thought i would show some interest in it. Now that i have received word back, i have to learn a song, and sing it a capella for this man. Hmm...so i decided to sing something by Ella Fitzgerald. Who is amazing by the way. If you have any love for jazz or just amazing singers\voices listen to this women. You would be surprised how many songs you know by her! So, that is your homework: listen to some Ella, which produces much happiness and enlightenment. I wish I could have seen her live. (She died in 1996).
But otherwise, i'm just filling my days with going to work (4-7) and hanging around at home. I went to the horse ranch the vivian works at a few times this past week, and that was fun. I hope to be able to go again soon. I love riding the horses. And they have cats there too..:D
This weekend- babysitting friday then work. Saturday, hopefully i will go see a movie with a friend. Sunday church, and then BACKPACKING! with my dad, sister, cousin, and uncle! i'm really excited. i love our camping trips. Mom and giles are staying home. And margaret is going to chicago for the weekend\holiday.

| hi! on saturday....i went and passed my driving test! so now i finally have my driver's license! i'm really enjoying being able to drive myself around where i need to go. Right now, i'm mostly just hanging out at home all day till about 3:30, and then i head off to work. Finish at 7 and i come home. My days are pretty regular and uneventful, but it's really nice-- just hanging out. That's all that is really happening. hope everyone is enjoying their summer!!!

| hey. ok so, it's been awile. Sine April 8th......we performed our musical Camelot. On friday night, everyone got sick, and we had to use an exepected understudy, but that went surprisingly well. Then it was just regular school. AP exams and senior week. Then seniors had there exams. Graduation was the 14th of May. It went well. S&M sang...then exam week for me. And now i'm finally finished with school. I started my new job at a day care center on the 22nd. I work from 4-7 mon.-fri. Over memorial day weekend, i went to a friend's lake house up at lake lanier. We have a premier piece that we are doing at All Saints Church (the S&M girls are helping out the All Saints Youth Choir) and so that is this friday. My dad went on JOE with the rising Seniors. (Although he didn't have a child going, they asked him to go because they needed chaperones). He enjoyed it alot. :D Giles graduated on the 13th. That's pretty cool. She's finally finished all her schooling (which i think she is pretty excited about). This summer Vivian is just getting ready for Hillsdale (college life) and Margaret is getting ready to go to Cortona, Italy for a semester. (she really excited about that). And.....i just have school again...eventually. Giles gets to be my buddy and hang out with ME till Christmas! big fun! otherwise, that's about it. (when i don't write for a long time, i forgot what happens. So, i'm sure more things have happened, i just...can't remember them). So...i hope everyone has had a good summer so far, and so sorry if you aren't out of school yet. that's all. :D
